My 48 Hour film. This is actually based on a true event which happened in my childhood. I didn’t bother with subtitles because it’s pretty self explanatory.

Retrospective Promo of the Day: Who better than Tim Burton to direct an animated 30-spot promoting his upcoming MoMA retrospective? No one, that’s who.

The exhibition opens November 22, and will run through April 26, 2010.

Animated Short of the Day: To promote the recent release of Up on DVD and Blu-ray, Pixar has released a brand new animated short called George & AJ, detailing the events immediately following the two retirement home orderlies’ brief encounter with Carl prior to lift off.

For those who have yet to see the film: While the short doesn’t have much by way of spoilers, it will likely stir an irresistible urge to watch Up, thereby spoiling any other plans you may have had.

This past weekend was 48 Hour Lockdown. Our theme this year was “night”. I’m excited to watch everyone’s films at the screening this weekend. Here’s a little drawing of my experience with the lockdown… haha this is probably applicable with practically everything that has a deadline.

I know this doodle comic is long overdue (because it is no longer applicable) …but I don’t care.
For over a week someone decided to put their “art piece” of this recorder which they insisted to have the tape stretch out the length of the gallery, BLOCKING the entrance to the Character Department.. Every single time I had been forced to go around this fire hazard…this is what I wanted to do.
My reasoning for my destructive behavior? A performance art of pursing my subconscious inner child’s impulsive behavior… Yeaaaah. lol

Life-Altering Jacket of the Day: e-Pressed — developed collectively by media artists Anja Hertenberger, Barbara Pais, and Danielle Roberts — uses galvanic skin response sensors hooked up to an Arduino board to notify the wearer via LEDs when a pressure area is being negatively affected by stress or low energy.
It is then a simple matter of finding a willing stranger to mollify the situation by pressing their fingers against the afflicted region.

Haha on Tuesday my boyfriend came to visit. As the group of us were hanging out, this little event happened. Seriously..it felt as if the ball headed towards him in slow motion, that all those thoughts came into my head. I even thought to myself..should I say something? should I pull him out of the way? I fail at protecting my boyfriend~! ;_;
OH! And another side note..so sad the three of us all wear glasses. Yay animation nerdiness, boo to poor vision.
